AJ is a senior research scientist in the Department of Applied Environmental Science at CSU Monterey Bay and the NASA Ames Cooperative for Research in Earth Science and Technology (ARC-CREST). His research centers around the development and application of satellite driven evapotranspiration (ET) models. AJ looks to create and enhance applications that support water resource management from farm fields to basin scales. He is a member of the OpenET science team. Prior to joining CSUMB/NASA-ARC CREST, AJ served as an assistant professor in the Geospatial Analysis Laboratory and Department of Environmental Science at the University of San Francisco and a Postdoctoral Fellow at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. AJ holds a M.S. in Watershed Science and Policy from CSU Monterey Bay and a Ph.D. in Earth System Science UC Irvine.
