Dr. Sayantan (Monty) Majumdar is an Assistant Research Professor of Hydrologic Sciences and Remote Sensing at the Desert Research Institute and Adjunct Faculty at the University of Nevada, Reno. An expert in computational hydrology, his research integrates remote sensing, machine learning, geospatial data science, and scientific software development to address critical water resource issues. He holds a Ph.D. in Geological Engineering from Missouri S&T and previously served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Colorado State University.
