Gabriel is co-located with the USGS North Central Climate Adaptation Science Center, Colorado and maintains a Faculty Affiliate position with Colorado State University, Fort Collins. Gabriel has developed the SSEBop model along with his team at EROS. The cloud implementation of the SSEBop model is coordinated in collaboration with teams at DRI. He conducts applied research on water use and availability assessment and monitoring using satellite-derived data and hydrologic modeling. (Ph.D. Agricultural Engineering, Ohio State University; M.S.
